Questions and Answers

Why is the charity called Holding Hands?
One of the simplest forms of showing someone you care is by holding their hand. It is incredible what simple gestures or acts of kindness can do to change the entire outlook of a person's life. The charity is designed to "hold the hand" of those who are less fortunate than we are.

Where does the money go?
The funds raised for a particuar event goes entirely to the designated cause for that event. The Board is a voluntary staff and is unpaid. In addition, all general administration costs are paid for privately by members on the Board. This ensures that the dollars raised through Holding Hands events are fully maximized. In addition, any general donations may be earmarked toward the Holding Hands event or cause of your choice.

Will I have a say in where the money goes?
We encourage it. Holding Hands will hold a quarterly meeting to decide future endeavors. The meeting will be open to anyone has an interest in helping to determine upcoming events and worthy causes in the community. Information will be posted on the Holding Hands web site.
